Melchior Selected Trust: Indian Absolute Return Fund (MSTIARF)
Gaurav Pant, the head of the Indian Equity Long Short team, has managed the MSTIARF since its launch in October 2011. This UCITs III Indian Equity long/short fund employs a fundamental approach to stock selection which seeks to generate alpha by exploiting the significant dispersion of returns between large cap Indian equities, often within the same sector.
The MSTIARF maintains a low net exposure and therefore is less volatile than direct investment in the Indian equity market.
The MST IARF has a number of advantages for the investor due to its UCITs III status including:
